The Nursefriendly was created in 1997 by Andrew
Lopez, BS RN (me), a (then) student nurse looking to organize useful Nursing websites in a single place.
We've continued that mission to this day. We'd like to enlist your help for a few hours/week.
Another goal of this website is to show nurses ways to make extra money working at home through the Internet. Organizing our Nurse Entrepreneur Directory was but one way of doing this.
The environment on the floors is getting hostile and it's not a very pleasant place to do your 40 (or more like 50-60) hours/week.
Hordes of nurses are justifiably leaving the floors or cutting back on hours. Here are a few alternatives to help supplement what you were making on the floors.
How much you can make depends on how much time you have to spend and which programs suit you
A reasonable goal for most is making an extra $50-$150/mo to start for a few hours a week spent online.
If you like the program and want to go further that will increase steadily.
I'm quite serious about replacing the $40-60,000 a year I was making from Staff Nursing through the web.
To date we're making $2,000/month.
Will help others do the same if you're willing to learn.
This is not get rich quick, you'll start earning immediately if the work suits you.
If you have any questions about using the following to earn on the web. I'm usually home during the day and evening between agency shifts.
If you sign up for Keen, you can call me free of charge for the first few minutes. I'll answer any questions you have. If you'd like more information after our initial chat, I'll call you.

The Opportunities:
Internet Nursing Guides: This is pretty straightforward. We're nurses that searched the internet for Nursing related websites and topics. What we found, we organized and placed on this website. We'll give you the topic & format, you collect and organize the information and we pay you. Assignments pay from $25 to $50 each.
Prepaid Legal Services: Prepaid Legal is a network marketing company that provides low cost access to an Attorney in your area and unlimited telephone consultations. Andrew Lopez, BS RN is a registered distributor for them. Visit their Free Consumer & Business Legal Resource Center!
For each referral you send that signs up for the service, Andrew will pay you $50. Please visit the site for more information or E-mail me.
Andrew lopez, BS RN has been using the methods we're about to explain consistently to supplement his staff nursing income. This is allowing him to reduce the number of clinical hours spent doing direct patient care. His background is as a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry Staff Nurse, he is currently licensed in both Texas and New Jersey.
These are Work At Home positions.
We'll state from the start, we won't charge you for the mentoring, business ideas you need to earn. We do not want your money and will not ask for it at any time.
You will be paid by us and by our advertisers.
We'd like for you to follow our instructions, invest some time, and put forth some effort for which you'll be rewarded. Our advertisers have been generous to us and we will be sharing those profits with our affiliates.
Ready to get started?
Again, these are positions you can work at entirely from home, in your bathrobe if you like. You can schedule your own hours and take time off or work extra at your leisure.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
Sincerely,
Andrew Lopez, BS RN. info@nursefriendly.com, http://www.lopez1.com

Nurses' Station:"The idea for the Nurses' Station Catalog was conceived in 1989. After searching the marketplace in response to customer inquiries, it became obvious that there were no catalogs of this type serving the nursing profession. To be sure, there were several catalogs offering nurse's uniforms and a smattering of professional items. But there weren't any catalogs at the time offering a range of gifts, clothing, professional items, name badges, shoes and scrubs for nurses. It took two years of hard work to gather samples and put a together a catalog of the most unique and high-quality items for nurses."

ER:"Media products under your influence, particularly the NBC/Warner drama "ER," are harming the profession of 2.7 million American nurses by giving the public an inaccurate and inadequate account of what nurses really do to save and improve lives. Research suggests that "ER" strongly and negatively influences the way children view nursing. These products contribute to the nursing shortage, a public health crisis that threatens millions worldwide."
NBC's "Passions":"NBC's "Passions" solves nursing shortage: monkeys can do the job! Starting in March 2003 and at least as recently as late August, NBC's campy, supernatural daytime soap opera "Passions" has featured an orangutan named Precious in the role of the private duty nurse of one of its characters--a bold step backwards in the already slow...evolution...of the media's treatment of nurses. more..."
"Scrubs" defines nursing:""Scrubs" defines nursing: it's all about shutting up and following physician "orders. " Tonight's episode of NBC's "Scrubs," which purports to teach nurse Carla Espinosa that nursing is all about doing what physicians tell you, is one of the most virulently anti-nurse prime time television episodes the Center has ever seen. more..." http://www.nursingadvocacy.org/
